SEVICON HVAC Control Box
Zhuhai Sevicon SEVICON HVAC control boxes adopt diverse appearance designs and internal control layouts tailored to different HVAC systems, environmental requirements, as well as the application of SOLDO SS and SB series valve position feedback transmitters on HVAC control on-off valves. The layout design covers secondary instruments mounted on cabinet panels and field primary instruments, forming complete control systems or integrated assemblies.
These control boxes are widely deployed in process control systems across various industrial sectors including oil refining, metallurgy, chemical industry, light industry, textile, national defense, electric power, aviation, shipbuilding, pharmaceutical and machinery manufacturing.SOLDO SS and SB series feedback transmitters deliver reliable signal feedback, effectively ensuring efficient and stable operation of HVAC systems.
Water Resistance: Closed-cell structure prevents water absorption with excellent moisture-proof and waterproof performance.
Corrosion Resistance: Resists corrosion from seawater, grease, acids, alkalis and other chemicals; antibacterial, non-toxic, odorless and pollution-free.
hock Resistance: High resilience and tensile strength, great toughness, featuring excellent shockproof and cushioning performance.
Thermal Insulation: Excellent heat insulation, thermal retention, cold resistance and low-temperature performance; resistant to severe cold and intense sunlight exposure.
Sound Insulation: Closed-cell structure delivers outstanding sound insulation effect.
Zhuhai Sevicon SEVICON HVAC valve control boxes are matched with SOLDO SS and SB series products for electric and pneumatic actuators. They are used to control the opening and closing of electric valves and enable remote operation of electric valves from the control room.
1.Secure the valve control box onto the bracket.
2.Connect the valve control box to the electric actuator with cables according to the corresponding terminal numbers as specified in the schematic diagram of the valve control box and the wiring diagram of the electric actuator; connect the three-phase four-wire power supply to terminals L1, L2, L3 and N of the valve control box respectively.
3.Turn the selector switch on the panel to the "Local" position. After verifying all wiring connections are correct, switch on the power supply; the "Power" indicator light on the panel will illuminate.
4.Manually position the valve to its mid-stroke position, then press the Open or Close button to check whether the valve’s travel direction matches the button command. If the directions do not correspond, swap any two phases of the three-phase motor wiring.
5.Complete the commissioning of the valve control box unit by referring to its operation manual.
6.Press the Open, Close and Stop buttons respectively, and check whether the pointer of the valve position indicator operates normally. If the displayed opening direction is opposite to the actual valve movement, swap the wiring of potentiometers 202 and 204. When the valve is fully open, verify if the valve position indicator reaches full scale. Adjust the Adjust knob on the panel to achieve full scale if there is any deviation. The red light flashes during valve opening and stays steadily lit once fully open; the green light flashes during valve closing and remains steadily lit once fully closed.
7.Terminals "A13" and "A11" are remote control open contacts; terminals "A43" and "A41" are remote control close contacts.
Description of SEVICON HVAC Control Box:This control box adopts a two-phase three-wire power supply with an input voltage of 220 VAC, 50 Hz. The valve control box is capable of switching between Local and Remote control modes.Local mode means operation directly on the control box; Remote mode enables automatic operation via 24V switching signals: For internal 24V module power supply: a circuit formed between terminals B4 and B8 closes the valve, while a circuit formed between terminals B6 and B8 opens the valve. When using an external 24V power supply (the supplied digital switching signals are 24V electrical signals): Connect terminal B7 to the negative (-) terminal of the external 24V signal source. The valve will close when the positive (+) terminal is connected to B8, and open when the positive (+) terminal is connected to B6.
All the above control modes are inching control. For continuous control, short-circuit terminals B8 and B5.
The SEVICON HVAC control box features a wide range of applications and excellent practicality. There are several precautions to observe during operation. First, users must be familiar with the installation and commissioning of the valve controller. Most importantly, regular maintenance is required for all equipment, which is critical.
