Functions of SEVICON Special Gas Control Cabinets

Zhuhai Sevicon industrial automation instrument control cabinets adopt customized exterior designs and internal control layouts according to different instrument configurations, application scenarios of SOLDO SF valve position feedback switches on N₂ control regulating valves, and environmental requirements. These cabinets integrate secondary instruments on the panel and field primary instruments to form complete control systems or integrated assemblies. They are widely used in process control systems for industrial sectors including oil refining, metallurgy, chemical industry, light industry, textile, national defense, electric power, aviation, shipbuilding, pharmaceutical manufacturing and machinery.


Its characteristics are as follows:

Water resistance: Closed-cell structure, non-absorbent, moisture-proof with excellent water resistance performance.

Corrosion resistance: Resists corrosion from seawater, grease, acids, alkalis and other chemicals; antibacterial, non-toxic, odorless and pollution-free.

Thermal insulation: Superior heat insulation, cold preservation and low-temperature resistance, capable of withstanding severe cold and intense sunlight exposure.

Sound insulation: Closed-cell structure delivers excellent sound insulation effect.

Zhuhai Sevicon valve control boxes are supporting products matched with electric actuators. They are used to control the opening and closing of electric valves and enable remote operation of electric valves from the control room.


I.Secure the valve control box to the bracket.

II:Connect the valve control box to the electric actuator with cables in accordance with the corresponding terminal numbers shown on the schematic diagram of the valve control box and the wiring diagram of the electric actuator. Connect the three-phase four-wire power supply to terminals L1, L2, L3 and N of the valve control box respectively.

III:Turn the selector switch on the panel to the "Local" position. After confirming all wiring is correct, switch on the power supply; the "Power" indicator light on the panel will turn on.

IV:Manually turn the valve to its mid-travel position. Press the "Open" or "Close" button, then check whether the valve’s travel direction matches the button command. If they do not match, swap any two phases of the three-phase motor wiring.

V:Complete commissioning of the valve control box by referring to its operation manual.

VI:Press the "Open", "Close" and "Stop" buttons separately and check if the pointer of the valve position indicator moves normally. If the position reading is opposite to the actual valve travel direction, swap the wires connected to potentiometers 202 and 204. When the valve is fully open, check if the position indicator reaches full scale. If there is a deviation, adjust the "Trim" knob on the panel to achieve full-scale indication. The red light flashes during valve opening and stays steadily lit once fully open; the green light flashes during valve closing and stays steadily lit once fully closed.

VII:Terminals A13 and A11 are remote control open contacts; terminals A43 and A41 are remote control close contacts.

Instructions for Valve Control Box: The control box adopts three-phase four-wire power input of 380 V, 50 Hz;The valve control box supports switching between Local and Remote control modes. Local mode refers to on-panel operation of the control box;Remote mode enables automatic actuation via 24 V switch signals: With internal 24 V power supply (for module power supply), a closed circuit between terminals B4 and B8 closes the valve, while a closed circuit between B6 and B8 opens the valve;

When an external 24 V power supply is used (the supplied discrete signals are 24 V electrical signals), connect terminal B7 to the negative (-) pole of the external 24 V signal source. When the positive (+) pole is connected to B8, the valve closes; when the positive (+) pole is connected to B6, the valve opens. All the above operations are inching control. For continuous latching control, short-circuit terminals B8 and B5. This control box does not support DCS functions.
